The feared arrival of black swan has arrived in the form of a virus .... complicating a debt saturated faltering world world economy.
The continuing depreciation of the A$ is mirrored by other vulnerable economies like the Phillipines, as reflected in the record gold price in Phillipines Peso. And despite a (relatively) stronger US$ the US$ gold price has soared above US$1600.
Bearing in mind that the Siana project has a proven high grade resource with more than 10 years mine life / 50k oz p.a. life at US$800 AISC, the high value of the resource and its modern plant and extensive infrastructure, cannot be in doubt. The replacement cost for the plant & infrastructure must be A$80-100m ?? ..... currently the market values SIana as a liability not a valuable asset ..... this asset is an ace up the sleeve, not a joker.
The patience and skill RED's management has shown in maintaining this valuable asset and Philippine relationships should soon bear fruit, and provide a substantial down payment on the new KOTH plant (?)
