To me, the most interesting part was how his counter-cyclical acquisition/investment mindset (it seems that’s how he has operated for a long while) is at odds with how stock market forces him to operate. Stock market left him dry when he needs money to hunt (acquire smaller players) and turned him to a prey. That with some additional spins can be an interesting research topic.

He always has been quite clear that transactional business model is the way in emerging markets. BTW, did you hear him referring to the 10-15% margin of Zameen (how profitable transactional business model is)? He and the channel in which you watched the video have been advocating the transactional business models for over 5 years now (and if it works even in one of the countries—let alone the whole LATAM which has moved significantly in that direction—this thing is a multi-bagger).
