    In reply to your question I think Sinopec will bring much needed experience to the operation at Puffin. It is China's 2nd biggest oil company; the largest is Petrochina and that is now bigger than Exxon. As operator, Sinopec will be running the shots at Puffin.

    Today's announcement says that the results of Puffin 13 and Greak Auk 1 will be evaluated with the help of SIPC's international research centre in Beijing.

    They are resources that a company like AED could never have dreamed of on it's own. It would have to pay consultant's big money for something like that and it would have no control on the timing of results. After paying $600M last year for it's 60% I think Sinopec will want to increase production asap.

    There are 4 wells in Puffin SW that have encountered oil. Perhaps these could all be re-entered and completed as producers.

    You are so right JM about this point,

    "I don't believe sinopec forked out 600mil to settle for 2500bopd".
