"Naming" who is interested is not the same as a counteroffer to the ZFX bid. Imo if AGM "name" who is interested rather that a counter bid this would be detrimental to their defence .(I don't know of any companies offhand who have "named" interested parties while fending off a takeover bid). This could be a very dangerous game of bluff if there is NO COUNTER BID from "interested parties." Also as SHELLY says the hedgies are accumilating rapidly and will hold a very significant part of this company. I wouldn't think it wise to play the hedgies.Would you?
Still cannot see a realistic counter offer with the markets(credit) the way they are atm(basically frozen!) but still stranger things have happened!
