Hi Andrew
Thanks for taking the time to join in the HotCopper discussions so we can elucidate the hot mess we are all in. Also thanks for clarifying that Harry Karelis does not own any part of Merchant group.
We are aware that you are both co-directors, friends and co-investors in many other assets including your Eurocann play - please correct me if I am wrong?
What appears to be rattling shareholders is the fact that Canopy Growth exited in such a flash and sold their shares at such a massive discount to the list price. Whilst I understand this is a good outcome for you, this does create uncertainty for shareholders:
1. Canopy rarely exit their international plays - their modus operandi is to hold and watch developing markets grow
2. Why did they sell out for a 50% haircut?
3. What is the medium and long term play for Merchant Group?
4. Is Auscann being amalgamated into the HAPA group?
Please remember that many of us have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on AC8 and there have been large numbers of suspect trades over the last 2 years.
We have seen executives get rich and retail investors lose money.
Please tell us what you can to restore our faith in this stock.
Regards
Matt
