Technically, BHP dropped below it's lower Bollinger Band today. That has occurred 3 times this year, and each time it has bounced back into the Band the next day.
Using history to predict the future is like driving a car forward and only using the rear vision mirror to give you a sense of direction. You can end up in all sorts of bad places.
Having said that, it has retreated from a high of $50 to todays low of $31. It could drop to $30, but it will meet incredible support there (fib number support, just like 50 was fib number resistance).
It will stay near there until the US takes it's laxative then it will climb again.
