GR,you left out one important word 'ventures' .Its telstra ventures again and agree it appears very good as its not any co that supplies the US DOD.
As posted tls ventures is now seperate to tls although tls clearly has access to tls ventures co's.
Unfortunately i can't agree with yr first post,as posted after the $1b govt defence contract the Australian defence dept gives telstra a poor rating on project delivery,but clearly as you suggest when tls resells a app/service like Zimperium its a different story.
Again these 2 tls ventures guys should be on the tls board.
ps I have never heard such a desperate comment from a chiarman to say tls will go to extremes 'my word' to maintain the .16 div when guidance is less than .14 cents.
If some think including FCF is fine then thats their opinion.The other point the chairman absolutely understand the 6 cents special div will finish in 2023.So why strain the tls finances to maintain the div when in 18 months the div will be cut anyway.It makes no sense unless a shareholder is only concerned about the next 12 months.
I believe this year besides chairmans comments the div will be cut to .14 cents then down hill from there.
oh unless the sell more assets to support yr div.
