GR,its a serious issue for tls getting the sale of infraco right and allocating its proceeds,tls needs its tech division tls purple to be autononmous just like tls ventures.It requires its own tech board not a board of old school bank/finance managers. It seems to me tls ventures can be a tech co.It also seems to me tls purple can't if run by tls board.. Tls should join tls purple and tls ventures and let it take full advantage of tech developments with experience tech guys/girls whatever making up the board.Tls purple is valued by tls at $8b,if tls decides to invest some of the infraco proceeds into purple/ventures then tls purple and tls ventures 'must' increase the ebitda just to replace the $500m plus ebitda lost thru selling say 49% of infraco. It would be interesting to hear the opinions of the tls venture guys as to what they would do with skillz etc as far as rolling out the platform in australia along with any other of their ideas...
ps JC,you picked up on the foxtel problem before i thought it was an issue,i'm having trouble agreeing with your optus outcome as it has over 400m global customers.But its no japan or korea.so it will be interesting.Maybe they will stick the for sale sign up.?
