The LNP had no option but to reign in the ridiculous cost of the NBN FTTP, estimated at 120 billion dollars. The country is over 600 billion in debt. The problem with these hare brained schemes is that the proponents do not consider the cost. Typical Rudd the dud policy. It has to be paid for somehow, and the LNP had to put the brakes on. In any event it will be taken over by other technologies which will make the NBN the greatest white elephant in our history.
