Ash,in a interview with telstra ventures,telstra ventures said before they became autonomous they had to run their investment suggestions thru the board and the tls board would decide which start ups to invest in.

Since merger with harborvest telstra ventures now deal with other people within telstra ,i forget maybe cto etc what ever and then these telstra people decide whether they want to invest in the telstra ventures suggestions.
Is it Yasp Patel.? a partner in telstra ventures said when telstra says no to a investment recommendation and the invest does well they do not rub tls's nose in it.

Agree with yr post,and thats why tls should be broken up like wesfarmers,with the ceo just keeping watch over the general business and 'NOT' getting involved in each business ie i'm sure the WES ceo doesn't get involved in the actual running of say coles then moves onto a wesfarmers lithium mine.Thats the way tls should be broken up ie energy with a real open minded energy ceo,same NAS etc etc
The tls business structure is a mess and the performance of all their divisions confirms that ie all trends are down.
Then look at telstra ventures run autonomously and look at the performance.
