Why do you assert that FTTP was not viable? Do you believe all political statements without question?
I state again that other countries (including NZ) have managed universal FTTP without problem. This is a fact. What is unique to Australia that an FTTP model isn't viable when it's been shown to be viable elsewhere? I've also shown that TLS profitability could have been enhanced as per Spark.
And please don't assert that country size is a factor, it is a blatant furphy. We obviously need full duplicated FIBRE inter capital links for ANY model (including the current one) and no one proposed laying Fibre throughout Lake Eyre or Kakadu.
