My understanding is jemena had planned to extend the eastern gas pipeline to the hunter valley well before govt announced this hunter valley gas plant. But if we r talking 'commercially viable' hunter valley wins over digicel imo. Digicel potentially costing tls '$2 billion' ,then the network must be maintained and taking into account the thousands of connected islands by seacable and then mobile towers required to be maintained and lets add the security involved by tls making sure these pacific seacables are not hacked by other countries as tls does with its global seacable network.. As posted for such regions mobile tower connectivity will not be commercially viable as these leo constellations continue to be rolled out. Just look at the business model and customer base these leo constellations are targeting.
