I have my routine nearly every morning,I start with news using various methods, then onto the saved websites which results in reading telstra headlines/updates.
A couple of days ago I read telstra may have some interest in meridian energy's Australian assets.(wind turbines, hydro and power house and powerhouse apparently sells gas in vic with plans to expand into nsw)
Being benson I had to google the assets.
On the surface I like the hydro assets and power house..
But if telstra buys the wind turbine assets without serious conditions/clauses it will only confirm management are the fools I believe they are.
I don't know how old the wind blades are but without doubt they are the next asbestos and they cannot be recycled. All should be aware the bs tls went thru with their little asbestos pits, imo that will be nothing compared to the issues wind turbine owners will face come to at the end of life of their turbines/blades.Eventually land fill will not be an option and they can't be recycled, cut them up is no different to cutting up asbestos. And they are a football field long.
Thats why as plosted i'm happy for tls to buy macquaries wind farm electricity but absultely not own wind trurbines with a max life of 25 years. How old are the meridian blades?
Hydro and powershop ok,but if burge buys his old employers Australian assets he better have a plan how to deal with the end of life problem of all renewable infrastruture including batteries and shareholders should demand answers from penn and burge.
ps i want reply to flea brain greenies they should start doing some research
What a classic, read an article regarding the 'emerging' issues of battery storage and recycling.Again no solution just keep manufacturing them and then just store the old batteries until they eventually catch fire as in victoria and nsw ,or catch fire on yr roof or one of australias worlds largest tesla battery banks.
What a joke,'emerging' problems of what to do with old batteries especially as EV's take off.Who couldn't have not seen these issues coming.
rgds tls managements no1 fan.
