Recycling renewables is the issue,if the csiro and various start ups domestic or global can solve the issue then it has great potential, but so does nuclear if they can solve the nuclear issues and like it or not nuclear is critical for subs and space..
What concerns me also about the purchase of meridian or red energy is the toxic issue surrounding the wind blades..Telstra brings out the worst in politicians like it did with the sml in ground asbestos pits and the pathetic media coverage condeming tls.The media were not concerned about the asbestos fencing, housing etc only about the tls sml in ground pits still in use today.
Once sold to the govt nbn there was no more media coverage about asbestos pits.
This is an issue penn hopefully understands.
hmm unlike the nbn agreement,if tls buys red energy or meridian i would have clauses included in the contract to cover tls as the life span of the meridian wind farms is very short considering the years they have been operating and the cost of decommissioning them will be extreme..
imo only i don't have confidence penn will take this issue seriously..
ps and y i don't support tls buying back the nbn it will become a political football again at shareholder expense.
