The collapse of the $35b Sun Cable project is embarassing for Australia- it is very unlikely to proceed, due to severe economic & technical problems.
Telstra was wise to pause on its Energy Division- many green projects in Australia have been financial failures. I agree that Telstra should consider gas development- which is very profitable; & much needed (inc .its ability to provide reliable, economic, baseload power) to transition, eventually, to renewable energy (if the latter can become financially viable, without massive govt. subsidies).
