Agree in essence. Issue is Telstra are footing the bill to deliver 4g / 5G, NG Wireless etc regionally and no other Telco are required to contribute. This is all via govt mandate which is onerous to a publicly listed company. How do Telstra remain compliant with Govt, yet profitable delivering 100 connections at a cost of 10's of millions? Hence the Starlink or NG Wireless are the tools of choice, once overkill and lacks resiliency/ redundancy as you say and the other is not fit for purpose for todays needs let alone whats coming in technology advances. Want to use AI chip sets on edge computing equipment for farming, agriculture etc? Well you need some robust connectivity and computing to do the data crunching at the edge (ie at the customer premises), whihc they need to start doing as cloud computing at the core is already nearing capacity. Mobile connectivity is expensive to deliver regionally. Its a problem for smarter minds than mine to resolve. Govt funding to regional councils to then fund their own Telstra or other carrier delivery systems? its there now but nowhere near enough.
