interesting debate i must say.

i just spent a couple of hours researching 5G in the USA.

the towers are basically just giant microwaves requiring massive amounts of electricity-we are talking megawatts, 200 to 500 meters apart.
a single microwave oven which uses just 1 kilowatt can be improvised as a potent ray gun that is quite frightening in its effectiveness.

ps- we have the equivalent of 300 microwave ovens on each tower! this is enough to nuke a small town. it's enough radiation to cause ionized cancer.

that's why people are up in arms about it in the USA, and i really think that the whole idea could be scrapped in OZ.
4G is enough and the internet of things is not a necessity, but just government and corporate greed.

why doesn't the government just allow Telstra to develop WI-Fi technology from the node to the home? surely that makes sense as the NBN rollout is almost finished anyway.
