If they instead of spending $18B on capex, they paid off their $17.3B of debt (currently paying 5.1% interest rate), it would save them $882m per year.
Its so low i wondered if i misinterpreted it, but this is the quote from the investor day;
"Achieve >$500m EBITDA benefits from strategic capex"
And considering paying off debt is risk free, it really does throw into question if any of the directors are worth keeping.
