I honestly do not understand the obsession with franked dividends??
It makes no difference at the end of the day, it's just a question of WHEN you pay tax, not how much you pay, given equal gross dividend yield, which is the real yield after all. In my mind franked dividends is like PAYG.
Two shares with the same gross yield. One fully franked, one with NO franking. Will yield you the same after tax return...... pleeaasee explain what I'm missing. Genuinely curious.....
In fact I'll prefer unfranked. Means I have more cash on hand during the tax period.
