Also.... in addition to franked dividends not making any difference at the end of the day, there is also something to keep in mind..... You may not even be able to claim the franked credit!!!
Holding rule etc
If you did not hold the shares at risk for 45 days.... can't claim it... gone. I think the 45 days excludes the purchase date and sell date so it's really more like 47 days. ( does not applies if you have less than $5000 in total of franked credits )
There are other provisions as well.... dividend washing, related payments bla bla.... point is.
Seems like a lot of boxes to check for an outcome that is no better.
And if you take into account cash flow....it's worse.
Just give me unfranked, or better yet, give me capital growth and NO dividends.
If I need money.... I'll sell some shares.
