I'm just comparing apples with apples.
Franked vs Unfranked... all other things being equal.
Otherwise you end up comparing apples and oranges......oranges being different yields. .....
Oh look. I figured it out..... a 9% yield is bigger than a 7% yield... who knew!
From the companies perspective.
They are paying the same amount of cash!
In my example both are paying out $100 to their shareholders.
Now there could be differences from the companies perspective I'm not aware of.
Otherwise. Franked and unfranked... the company pays out $100.
What would be the incentive to pay that $100 franked.... or unfranked?
I don't know of any. ( please comment if you do )
Also, the thing that changes between me and a pensioner is their tax rate.
Not the benefit of the franked vs unfranked......apples and oranges.
