All big software companies that sell essential programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Entertainment Suite, Accounting Programs, Circuitry Programs for Engineers, Anti-Virus programs, PC Utilities for technicians are all subscription based model started early 2010 and until now still gaining momentum to combat piracy.
Well technically you could make money on a fridge in the future if there is some kind of program box that attaches and calculates the degree of heatness of any appliance convert it into "green" units into the PC then upload to the main host that creates the weight of the currency similar to Bitcoin.Not such a far out idea. Lol
