Couldnt your friends use bitcoin transactions to transfer money to another currency, and keep it in a legit account somewhere, then use bitcoin to transfer it back as needed. That would take the 'investment' out of it.
I do hope it succeeds to give people more control over where they put their money, i just see risk in it as an investment.
Telstra with its drive to be more of a 'tech' company could benefit from it by helping make it available to others.
