I had seen the impact of margin calls (not mine) firsthand during GFC. It wasn't pretty. Even owning blue chip shares via margin lending LOAN was not safe. In short, invest by using our money is a better way, imo.
I remembered Telstra fared much better than most blue chips during GFC. The current Aussie market correction provides a good opportunity to invest in Telstra, imo.
