    Hmmm I'll try to clear something up. Not sure if I'm on the right track. You need "energy" to transmit signal. The higher the "spectrum" the more energy you need. Correct me at this front. The higher the frequency, the closer the "waves", hence mmWaves. This vid below explains it better if you go thru it. So when 5G says mmWaves, its talking about higher frequency which by definition means closer "waves". Hence millimeter in this case. Think old ham radio, they have meters waves.
