Mate, I for one actually looked at margin loans. As the "principle" is not difference to a house loan. LVR is higher for margin loans, and interest sure. In the end, used my offset to play the share market instead. The difference? apart from LVR and rates. Margin CALLS, Plus, I've paid enough of my mortgage that now its below 50% LVR. Most people can't hold onto their shares because they used it and the banks just comes in and asked them to pay back, like the case with TLS. Only play with money you can afford. I'm old school, and rather do it myself, rather then pay fees for financial advise.
