So why is it good for Telstra?
-Fewer competitors
-TPG and to a smaller extent Voda lose their competitive advantage (or what makes them different) being smaller and more agile and able to focus on less lucrative parts of the market.
Bad for Telstra?
-TPG/Voda alone might not have had the capital to invest in 5G/Post-NBN-tech at a high enough level
-Would be able to compete better for Enterprise/Government and business contracts.
-If ACCC don't keep an eye on things the merger could end up with more of the 3.6GHz spectrum than Telstra.
