You aren't self-sufficient if you are taking a tax-payer funded HANDOUT. If you don't pay tax you shouldn't be getting a tax refund.

I work bloody hard and I pay a lot of tax. I don't think entitled retired baby boomers with plenty of capital behind them deserve a handout.

By the time I retire, these kinds of tax arrangements won't be around because they are unsustainable. Welfare for the wealthy is a part John Howard's horrible legacy and it is a part of the reason for the government's massive debt.

By the way, you do realise the Coalition is going to review dividend imputation? Even those ideologues have realised it is unsustainable.
