If AGL is considering a potential venture into telco (by taking over Vocus), I see no reasons for Telstra not to venture into retail energy. After all, Telstra will be a retail telco when NBN Co completes its broadband networks. With Telstra’s extensive database, energy is not a difficult fit. In fact, Telstra should consider many other retail businesses.
