Think about it, why are we minning all these minerals and ship overseas to be processed? Why can't we just value add and make them into steel/battries/etc and sell them overseas? Our cost of energy is simply too big. And I see Nuclear as the only viable alternative to not only reduce our emissions and also to make our country great. Wait for a couple of major blackouts and you'll start seeing people wanting reliable baseload energy.
