    look, the real problem with TLS getting back to $5 is not the so called black hole because they lose fixed line to the NBN. they are being compensated till 2020 for that. and after that TLS gets 1 billion a year from NBN anyway.

    on top of that, Penn has implemented 1.5 billion PA in costing cuts by 2020.

    the so called problem is the wholesale access charges that NBN charges telcos and Penn thinks it will balloon to 3 billion a year which seems way too high an estimate. Also, EBIT from the coveted mobile sector took a fairly big hit.

    OK-nonetheless, how do we address this?

    we have 2 options - Telstra should develop new technology for the last mile of NBN cable connection and the 5G network implementation after the early 2018 trials at the C'wealth games, should be totally operational before the anticipated date of 2020.
