I have no doubt this to shall pass, but not for a long time in my opinion and most likely the world will be a different place with unbelievable disruption.

I expect Telstra will be least affected though.

My background is health related. I am
anticipating that this will spread worldwide within 2 months in major proportions.

Before any vaccine could be made available if it would work 60% of people may be infected. 15% will be seriously ill and 2.5% mortality. 25% of people over 70. (8% 70-79 and 15% 80 plus).

The common cold is a coronavirus and has never had a vaccine. Also there is already talk of repeated infections with the Coronavirus therefore it may not give immunity, just like the common cold.

The health system did not cope with the last flu season in Queensland. It won't cope with 1/10 of the above scenario. The effect on the economy of sick workers and the breakdown of the housing market through older people place flooding the market will be disrupting.

That is my view, and not shared by Donald Trump.

There will be a need for telecommunications, but what of the banks, hotel, airlines, general economy. I don't think the bottom will be reached for the general market for months and I hope I am wrong.
