The average mobile user downloads 6.65GB per month according to ABS.

If they where postpaid telstra customers, i guess they would be on a 10GB plan for $49/m, so $5 per GB, but it looks like standard telstra charges are $10 per GB for excess data.

Can you backup your claim that installing and maintaining towers is cheaper than landlines ?

I believe currently Optus/Voda/Telstra spend a few billion a year between them maintaining their towers (not counting expanding capabilities), and they only provide 3% the capacity that existing landlines do. That figure will have to increase significantly after 5G is rolled out just because it needs more towers (or more antennae at least).

Actually ABS says 26M mobile subscribers, if combined cost of maintenance is $3B, thats $1000 per year maintenance for mobile currently.

FTTC currently costs $2800 per premises to install, and i expect it would last 10y+, so its maintenance will likely be less than a quarter of mobile.

Mobile gets aggregated at towers and sent via fibre, so if 5G is so much faster than fibre then fibre will become a bottleneck and limit 5G speed anyway, it just doesnt make sense that mobile could be faster than fibre for an equivalent number of fibre subscribers.
