If only Telstra had some synergies to take advantage of such content, like a streaming service (oops, mismanaged and sold ooyla), or some sort of marketing company to help with promoting (oops, mismanaged and sold Sensis).
Even if it such events rivalled AFL, AFL had revenue of $670m in 2019 compared to Telstra's $27.8b, im not sure its a very fair comparison because i just googled AFL, there might be a lot of things left out , but i guess there would also be if Telstra did esports as well.
