The two new centres will cost between $700 million and $780 million to build and will be done by 2023. Woolworths chief executive Brad Banducci said he hoped to redeploy a number of the 1350 affected workers in other parts of the business or at the new sites, noting he was taking a "conservative" approach to the redundancies with $176 million set aside to pay for the job cuts.
