GR,iv'e always said the guy in charge of tls ventures appears to be taking some interesting positions in various established start ups. ie the co u mentioned,plus TSM ,i still believe coherre has potential probably etc.. I think the issue is whether the position is strategic ie coherre or financial as in developing esports by understanding how tsm is developing its esports business model in the US. Clearly i believe tls has learnt their lesson by not buying out the tls venure capital investiment 100% ie ooyala. I believe they have learnt to take positions that leave enough incentive for the founders to stay on. Having said that it would b great if tls actually did above ,buti have no confidence in penn making the decisions on what positions to take in specific co's.Thats penn not the tls venture guy. This imo is confirmed by tls wasting money on muru d. Again it appears nothing material from tls ventures,so the question is y? Of course the $500m write down of ooyala was material but management appears very capable of write downs and large scale profit reductions. Sry GR i really want to hear something positive,its no good hc members being positive,we have to hear penn with positive profit news,os an acquisition that makes sense. I hear nothing positive from penn. Interesting,i 'm still very new to PTM,i have no interest trying to attempt what they do myself.But when i read the various co's they invest in i think with all the various global opportunities as technology develops what is penn doing about taking a material position in a co with material potential,not some rubbish playshcool investment in murur d..
