It's disappointing but they've been around for so long now and STILL every interaction with them (until I moved off) seemed as though I was dealing with someone whose primary function was to "take the call" rather than help provide a service or fix a problem. My lasting impression is that their own staff were often frustrated that their systems or access were insufficient to allow them to help. Unfortunately it just seems to be embedded. What a monumental waste.
I finally moved off my last Telstra account a couple of months ago so over the past few years I've gone from $5K+ pa in services to zero. I now notice that Vodafone mobile coverage is lacking from time to time but I had occasional issues with Telstra coverage as well. As for fixed broadband I've noticed no change at all. Given the huge reduction in cost (particularly in mobile) since I moved away from Telstra services I really don't miss them in the slightest.
