Hey GR.
It is a fascinating business connectivity .
I read that channel news article on the intentions of apple, google etc to send up thousands of satellites to provide internet connectivity.
Imo only they will waste their money like apple did trying to develop its own crypto currency for its payments system and ended up using each countries currency..
Having said that, specifically google and apple have been trying to enter this internet sector.
Google with its stupid balloons now apparently partnering tls in the stupid balloon research.
But clearly these big techs want to enter the sector.Imo only they must partner a countries mobile co ie tls, optus or vodafone.Because i can't think of any country that would want google or apple providing internet not to mention the spectrum is finite and all countries will imo only save the space spectrum for military use or for telco use,so it seems to me these techs will have to deal with a telco.
So it does open new possiblities for specifically tls being australia owned. How bad do these mega tech co's want to enter the internet business ?Obviously they can resell nbn but i feel they r more interested in mobile for obvious reasons ie their businesses r built on mobile.but google also did try and roll out some fibre in the US..
imo only tls is the prey. But thats not to say tls doesn't have a strong bargaining position in any large scale merger..
Unfortunately i think u r giving penn to much credit.tls imo only really needs a new ceo (and chairman).
