Totally agree with your sentiments.Ordering the NBN was not the issue, I had a query regarding billing. Ultimately, the issue is there now seems to be no way to make a phone call and speak to someone. In the past the ability to make that phone call when I needed to was the reason I paid more to stay with Telstra - and was happy to do so. Now that I can't make that call, might as well go with cheapest option - what additional support does Telstra provide for the additional cost?
