I think one might more reasonably ask "take away FoxTel and where would Sky be?". The main customer draw card for FoxTel has always been sport but Murdoch gets a paid outlet for his parade of bile merchants on Sky and political influence thrown in for free.
Just what would happen to a whole host of Murdoch content and that outlet for influence peddling without FoxTel? Who is going to pay to watch any of the Sky numpties online?
