I am one of those newbies to Telstra - who would have thought they exist? But at $3.10ish, seems more reasons to buy than sell. Downside risk seems pretty low, even if upside may not be fantastic. But there are opportunities coming up, not least of which the purchase of NBN at bargain prices (who else can buy it really?) and the 5G roll out. Telstra will be a dominant IaaS at some point in Australia, and if not well at least you clip your 5% yield on the way.
