This is for GR if he/she is interested.Anyone that suggests i'm down-ramping i'll put on ignore,or better still put me on ignore.
GR,iv'e been thinking about the issues going on between australia and china,both trade ie our meat and wine, but now it seems to be taking a turn for the worse ie our media based in china..
Australia has various investments in china,like china has various investments in australia.ie our big 4 banks,bsl even my micro holding thru a chinese joint venture,csl etc etc.
My concern would be that china goes after telstras chinese telecommunications infrastructure ie data centres,fibre,poi on china mainland.There is already mumbling about chinese interference in global data centres based in HK including tls's hk data centre.Some are moving to other asian countries due to chinese demands to access data stored in hk.
It seems to me tls could attract chinese attention especially in mainland china.
That is a material investment for tls ie pacnet etc.also material for shareholders.
I have some small concern about my little micro co,but my guess would be the chinese govt would have more interest in an australian telecommunications co based in mainland china for political reasons.
This is no criticism of tls,but considering the political issues surrounding global telecommunications it could be an issue,not to mention the safety of tls employees working in china.
If i was an employee at tls or my micro co i would not be happy travelling to china.
Anyway,as posted, hc is good for getting things i believe r relevant to tls off my chest by posting them.
