everyone here misses the point!
80% of Telstra business in mobile is in metro areas.
they charge on average twice the cost compared to TPG, which covers metro areas but is about to cover even more.
so it doesn't take an Einstein to realize that TLS has a real problem- they will have to cut their profit margin to retain users.
but now we have a further problem-5G! that will cost them a fortune to roll out, 5G phones and tablets will cost a fortune for users, and nobody knows how much they are going to pay extra for the data.
ps- could you imagine a network of dishes installed on lampposts or special towers every 500 metres a sane proposal running at a loss?
