Stories about China abusing Telecoms hide as much truth as they reveal
Does anyone think any major western Telco would be able to withstand no co-operating with US (or their domestic) intelligence agencies.
e.g. All electronic communications are required to be logged in Australia (data retention laws), and Telcos are required to allow backdoors to be insterted anywhere they can (Assistance and Access Bill).
The sad truth is safer to be spied on by a foreign government that you have no dealings with than a domestic one.
Banning Huawei wont bring consumers any closer to the privacy they entitled to under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
They are all pigs throwing mud at each other.
