I agree. Pressure needs to put on Fund Managers to look afer the interest of their investors by voting in their interest in Company meetings rather than blindly following Board recommendations as many of them do.
The growth of DIY Super which encourages investors to invest directly may help to make Boards more accountable to their shareholders.
If anyone here knows anyone with funds invested directly or indirectly with MBA or Schroders ebcourage them to ask why the fund manager voted the way thet did. At least Orbis gave clear direction on how they voted and why. They should be commended for that.
