Where to now??

Well with Anvil share price being so weak, poor quarterly profits, limited funds in hand to progress new mining infrastructure, Catala proposal to inject funding withdrawn, world financial turmoil and doubts about Anvil ability to raise required funds to continue the proposed mining program ------- all together must place Anvil in a strong position to ask for mitigation of proposed requirements when the contract review takes place!
Surprise?

Should the review process recognise Anvil's predicament and conclude the review in a manner positive to Anvil's future we should see the first stage of a solid recovery in share price.

Anvil share price has always been a factor of quarterly profits.
When Dikulushi is back into full and problems with EAF's at Kinsevere have been overcome, etc. - record quarterly profit (assuming reasonable price of copper) should eventuate.
Hopefully first quarter 2009.
Share price should move strongly on this basis.

Management need to continue SX-EW construction using funds already in hand and future profits.
Hopefully as completion date approaches raising remaining required funds for completion of construction may be more readily facilitated.

The bottom line is that Anvil should remain a solid, profit making mining company even if the SX-EW project is delayed or postponed.

The company could be seen as a takeover target.
Any prompt move in this direction might be about $12 to $15 per share offer.
For various reasons this does not appear a reasonable possibility.

Worldwide the raising funds for new and upgraded mines will be very difficult and possibly Anvil will enjoy higher world copper price for longer than many may have thought.

Eventually the market will bounce and Anvil share price accordingly.
Not any time soon. Perhaps late 2009 - early 2010?
