    Sounds like you need to:
    do some reading,
    watching the game and
    posts and
    actual SP movement

    Analyse charts
    make some trading rules
    Amount to invest
    income % and/or cost per trade
    What type of stocks
    What type of news
    FA or only TA

    Risk level
    Time prepared to learn
    Actual time to learn (perhaps always learning)

    Some good tips on the shareholder education forum
    Sometimes on the ASX general thread
    Sometimes on the DT thread thread

    Have a good read of the boss's pre market post each day.

    By the way income is paramount and capital preservation and growth
