There are competitors to some extent.

Two points though as ferrari posted. Food contactable biodegradable meeting all standards is huge. No one else has this to the clarity Bioplastics have.

Secondly because we care were being questioned about wether their claims are correct and had bad press recently.
Just because they claim it is compostable , is it. They have not met the european standards yet , whereas bioplastics have. Also note that whilst plastic bags gives them cashflow the massive market is food packaging and they have several trials on foot and coming to conclusion including companies like nestle ( european based) as outlined at the Agm. When they sign a food packaging contract then that will signal the arrival of a substantial business.
