That could mean big$.

UCG technology been working in Russia/Soviet union for 50 years. (look it up in Wik Pedia)

Mr. Stalin comanded for the institute to be set up to perfect the technology - in 30s

In Uzbekistan (Linc company made acqusiotion there, becasuse their main Geologist is Russian and he knows UCG well) the plant been operating for many decades.

Another piece of information, the institute which perfected thechnology was desolved after fall out of USSR and members set up their own compnay in the northern city of Russia called Novosibirsk and aparently oprerating UCG not far from city itself due to its clean technology process.


So, UCG is there , proven and working !
