Screw who's ancestors did what ? 50,000 years back.
Who has done what in the last 80 or so years makes sense to look at.
Saying I deserve more now because my ancestors who are now dead suffered, or that I need to pay someone now because my ancestors wronged their ancestors is absolute rubbish.
Simply put... person who has not suffered, being paid by person who has not caused the suffering. pathetic.
Since how many generations have the Aboriginals been given more than any race in Aus ? 3 generations, say from 50 years ?
All those $$ thrown away, and do you see any improvement ?
If that has not worked, now maybe the opposite is required. Maybe get paid, if you work ?
Everything free, has definitely not worked.
All the Voice will benefit are the few privileged aboriginals. The ones in true need will not get anything.
We have seen how the 50% land already given away has done. All the mining royalties etc (tax free), they have helped a select few in the communities.
The proper way is to promote education & stop substance abuse.
Ridiculous to say, so many more % of aboriginals in Jails than non aboriginals. If you commit more crimes, more of you will go to jail.
If people do not want to improve, provided opportunity, then they can only blame themselves.
Just since WW2... Lots of races have migrated to Aus, worked their whole lives to build a better future for themselves and Aus. They did not have a cushy life or great privileges.
Freebies only make people more dependable on welfare.
